Now it’s official: The trend color for 2020 is Classic Blue. At the end of each year, the renowned US color institute Pantone announces which color will set the tone in the following year in the truest sense of the word. This time the choice fell on a classic blue tone.
The official color classification for Classic Blue is 19-4052. It is timeless and durable. The solid dark blue is tasteful with its simple elegance. According to Pantone, it is reminiscent of the endless expanse of the evening sky. On the one hand, it has a gentle and thought-provoking effect. On the other, it is an expression of our longing for a reliable and secure foundation.
“We are living in a time that requires trust and faith. Imbued with a deep resonance, PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation. A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking; challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication.”
