Gol Gumbaz is the mausoleum of Muhammad Adil Shah II (1627-57), one of the major Islamic monuments of India, Bijapur, Karnataka.  Gol Gumbaj, literally means the round dome, is the tomb of Mohammed Adil Shah (1627-56 AD), the 7th ruler of this dynasty.
