In focus: StockFood Photographer Irina Meliukh

Irina is a self-taught food photographer who has a distinct warm rustic style, uses only natural light, authentic old props and seasonal organic products.

Although she studied something different, Irina now works for food producers and magazines as a food photographer, stylist and recipe developer.

About five years ago Irina graduated from linguistic university and before starting her job as an English teacher, she created a food blog to share the results of her main passion and hobby – Baking. Gradually after several years of food blogging Irina started working for food magazines, books and sites and changed her profession from teacher to photographer.

Irina uses only natural light, rustic wooden backgrounds and soulful props which she gets mostly in her grandmother’s house in a small village. She loves bright colors, beautiful seasonal products and wild flowers. She cooks and styles everything on her pictures herself. Currently Irina works for Danone Belarus and some other food producers and magazines as a food photographer, stylist and recipe developer.
