The temple called The Throne or El Trono in the Acropolis housed the tomb of king Ukit Kan Le'k Tok', who ruled Ek Balam from 770 to about 797 A.D. El Trono contains elaborate stucco carvings and figures. The pre-HIspanic ruins of the Mayan city of Ek Balam in Yucatan, Mexico.
