Arabian fat-tailed scorpion, Androctonus crassicauda, walking at night on the Kuwait desert. Their venom contains powerful neurotoxins and is especially potent. Stings from Androctonus species are known to cause several human deaths each year. Several pharmaceutical companies manufacture an antivenom for treatment of Androctonus envenomations. Was considered a major hazard for troops during the whole Persian Gulf conflict, throughout the area of the war. Kuwait
