$One of a short series of images showing the development of an aurora display from a classic arc into a more complex pattern of concentric arcs and with loops and swirls. This was Feb 5, 2019 from the Churchill Northern Studies Centre. The outburst lasted only 5 minutes or so and might have been due to the Bz interplanetary field turning south briefly. After this series, the display faded and fractured into faint arcs and a diffuse glow across the sky.$

Comet Nishimura (C/2023 P1) captured about 25 minutes after rising in the pre-dawn sky on September 10,2023 with the sky bright with morning twilight colours. The comet was only about 4º above the horizon at this time. This was about 5:25 am MDT.

Taken August 17, 2012 at the Saskatchewan Summer Star Party. This is a composite of 6 exposures: all 2 minutes at f/2.8 and ISO 1600 with the Canon 5D MkII and Sigma 50mm lens, but 5 exposures were tracked and 1 exposure was untracked to prevent the ground from blurring.
